Chocolate Chip Biscotti with Orange

The story goes that someone at MaMa Florence, perhaps making space in the kitchen, decided to toss a few unexpected ingredients into a simple cookie dough. Little did they know, they'd stumbled upon the magic of chocolate and orange – a pairing we now know is simply irresistible! Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour 200 grams
  • Butter 100 grams
  • Brown Sugar 100 grams
  • 1 Egg
  • Chocolate Chips 100 grams
  • Yeast 1 teaspoon 
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • Orange Zest, as needed

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven at 180°C
  2. Mix softened butter with sugar until creamy.
  3. Add egg and mix well
  4. Slowly add flour, yeast, the lemon zest and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly
  5. Add the chocolate chips and mix well so they are well distributed
  6. Make balls with the mixture and put them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Slightly press down on the balls
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes
