Tuscan Involtini (Rollè)

Ingredients

  • Thin slices of meat (chicken or turkey or veal)
  • Smoked pork (or prosciutto crudo or ham)
  • Sliced cheese
  • Boiled spinach
  • Flour
  • White wine
  • Olive oil
  • Sage

Method

  • Beat the meat slices
  • Salt and roll with a slice of smoked pork, spinach and cheese. 
  • Fold carefully and dust with flour, closing with a leaf of sage and a stick.
  • Place the rolls into a cooking pot together with extra virgin olive oil and a garlic clove and let cook about 10 minutes.
  • Let brown on both sides. Add white wine and let evaporate on low heat. 
  • Serve hot.
