Organization

  • All courses, classes, events, and any other activity part of the services our School offers are organized and conducted by Le Baccanti Tours Srl, with registered offices in Florence, Italy.
  • MaMa Florence is a registered brand of Le Baccanti Tours Srl.

 

Courses and Classes 

The courses and classes at our School generally last three hours followed by a seated tasting with what was prepared during the class.
The menu changes according to the season and availability of ingredients.
Group courses must have a minimum of three participants; private courses may be booked regardless of the number of people.

 

Chef and Cooking Teachers

Our classes are taught exclusively by highly qualified chefs and instructors.
The list of chefs can be found on the web site mamaflorence.com.
Other guest chefs may occasionally run our classes or special programs

 

Registration and Payment Methods  

  • You must register on our website mamaflorence.com in order to participate in the courses.
     
  • Registrations will be accepted in the order they are received, and the reservation will be considered complete only after our School has received full payment and it has been confirmed; as such, if we do not receive payment or receive a partial payment of the fee, the registration at our School may be nullified.
     
  • Payments may be made with the following methods: directly at our office at Viale F. Petrarca 12, 50124 Florence, Italy, by filling out a registration form by credit card through the online form on our website mamaflorence.com
     
  • Once our School has received full payment of the fee, we will send a confirmation email noting the venue, date, and time of the classes.


Course Cancellation or Changes made by the School

The School may make changes to programs, class content, and course teachers for organizational reasons, while ensuring the same quality level and continuity of the classes.
We furthermore reserve the right to postpone the date of one or more classes, always giving registrants timely notice. If a new date is offered and the registrant cannot take part, he or she may request, in writing and within 10 days of the notification, reimbursement for the class that he or she cannot attend solely for that reason.

Our School ensures courses will be conducted normally if the minimum number of participants is reached. The courses may also be canceled due to force majeure events or for other causes not attributable to our School

If there is a cancellation, our School will reimburse fees already paid within 10 days of the cancellation, or if the participant prefers, he or she may communicate the choice of another equivalent course within ninety days of the cancellation


Course Withdrawal or Changes Made By The Client

Withdrawal must be in writing by emailing [email protected].

Withdraw form a joinable class:
Cancellations from the time of booking up to 60 days prior the class: 70% refund
Cancellations from 59 days up to 30 days prior the starting date of the class or programme: refund 50% Cancellations form 29 days up to 15 days before the starting date of the class or programme: 20% refund. Cancellations form 15 days or less before the starting date of the class or programme: no refund.

Withdraw form a private class or event:
Cancellations from the time of booking up to 60 days prior the class: 60% refund
Cancellations from 59 days up to 30 days prior the starting date of the class or programme: refund 30%
Cancellations from 29 days or less before the starting date of the class or programme: no refund.

Withdrawal from Week-long Italian and Tuscan Cuisine Culinary Program at Mama Florence:
Cancellations from the time of booking up to 60 days prior the class: 60%
Cancellations from 59 days up to 30 days prior the starting date of the class or programme: refund 30%
Cancellations from 29 days or less before the starting date of the class or programme: no refund.

If you are traveling we highly recommend you buy travel insurance to cover for costs created by possible travel issues.

Participant conduct and indemnity

The School provides the registrant with the kitchen equipment, ingredients, materials, and general teaching material, for which he or she claims responsibility.
The registrant will use said material exclusively for the purpose of the course and the aims of the class; the student will in all cases use reasonable care and due diligence in using the kitchen and teaching materials and do so exclusively for their intended purposes. The registrant also agrees to respect the Chefs' instructions in the use of the materials, and to abide by all the usual norms for proper conduct during the courses regarding themselves and others; regarding the equipment that the School makes available, the registrant exempts the School from all responsibility for any damage to other people or things. The School will therefore bear no responsibility for any damage that the registrant may cause him or herself or third parties caused by said materials (for example, knives, pots, heat, and boiling water).

The teaching material will be provided as needed and at the discretion of the instructor and actual needs. The teaching material, ingredients, and other materials are included in the registration fee. The registrant is responsible for his or her property and personal effects brought inside the premises during the classes, and the School bears no responsibility or obligation to safekeep them.

Upon registration, the participant declares, upon his or her own responsibility, that he or she is in suitable health to participate in activities part of the cooking courses organized by the School, having received all necessary information about specific risks, operational procedures, and evacuation procedures; also upon registration, the participant exempts and releases the School from all liability for problems caused by food allergies or intolerances, whether by ingestion or contact. People with life threatening allergies cannot be accpeted in our classes due to very likelly cross contamination.

Privacy

The School becomes and remains holder of the personal data that the registrant provides as per the following specific terms. Your personal information, including your e-mail address, is stored in Le Baccanti Tours Srl database. It will never be shared without your explicit permission in conformity with the Reg. UE 2016/679. Please note that your data can be modified or cancelled at any moment upon request. The data provided will be handled in the strictest confidence, and its deletion or modification may be requested at any time. The data provided may be used to send advertising materials or for marketing purposes.

Court of competent jurisdiction

For any dispute that may arise between the parties regarding the validity, interpretation, performance, and application of this contract, the exclusive competent court will be the court of Florence.

These terms are published and available for everyone to view on the School's site, and as such, upon course registration, the participant expresses his or her unconditional acceptance thereof.
